BenQ S41

Oh man what a long wait! Been waiting for 3 weeks plus, and finally it has arrived in Malaysia.

Wanted to post the picture earlier but my Canon IXUS 850IS has some problem withe the battery so end up posting it after a few days. Pls forgive me......

So BenQ S41 here is smaller, lighter and prettier design compare to the Asus Aspire 5920 Gemstone (at least for me). This laptop is more suitable for ppl that prefer bringing their laptop along and want to play some game.

This laptop seems to very hot currently, even I who have pre-order it 3 weeks ago also need face the problem stock sold out and end up waiting for the second batch (which was a couple hours later).

As u all can see from the picture above the speaker of this laptop isn't as good as the Acer 5920G. Not really very impressive, i think those who look forward for good sound output should go for those HP laptop since they come with Altec Lansing Speaker. (For info on Acer 5920G refer to the previous post.)

This laptop also comes with a 1.3 mega pixels webcam, seem to be something that cannot be missed out by most laptop this days. But nevertheless having a webcam built in is always better than purchasing another webcam to input to your laptop and eating up another of your precious USB port.

Keyboard layout is ok just that a lot of laptop functions aren't provided with their own buttons and 1 thing I dislike the most is no volume control button provided!!!! You have to press the FN + Volume button to control the volume is really very unfriendly!!!

The graphics of this machine to me is still an unknown to me since i dun really have a game that runs on DX10 or even a high quality 3D pc game (for most of you that read my blog should know, I own 2 next gen console so i dun really paid much attention to PC game). But i feel that the graphic on the LCD screen isn't as good as the Acer 5920G (no solid proof just comparing with my 2 eyes only).

Conclusion is this laptop is great for its price(RM4099), and is only 2kg++ so it is also much more easy to bring along than the 5920G. Only thing that I dislike the most is the bag that it came along with...... looks so cheap.

hehe cool! hope you enjoy your new laptop. i myself planning to buy either acer aspire 5920 or benq s41 to bring to uni this september.

i'll probably get the aspire 5920 tho, because i dont really need portability plus it has a bigger screen and nice speakers. :)
