Army of Two (PS3)

This could be call a small review done by me! First i got this game on Sunday and finish it on Tuesday, estimate average gameplay time is around 1 hour for each mission (got 6 mission).

Graphics of the game is above average, and is promising enough to declare as the current gen graphic (unlike some of the FPS game tat was release recently on PS3), sound effect was also great. The AI of the game was also really challenging!

This game introduce a lot of new stuff into shooting game! First the AGGRO system where you or your partner fired at the enemy rapidly and make everyone focus on you/partner then the other can enter a near invisible mode and atk enemy from the side! If the AGGRO is full you may also enter a mode call Over Kill where the person AGGRO full will have 2 times dmg than normal while the other will become highly agile and invisible!

Second stuff we dun see in most shooting game is the Back to Back system where you and your partner stick back to back and fire at enemy coming from all direction! The motion of all enemy will enter a John Woo style slow motion and the 2 guys will have infinite ammo to shoot!

Third is the AI of the game tend to be smart and proof to be difficult to kill while playing alone! The AI will surround your character from all direction making it hard to hide from gun fire! Even worse they have good aiming skill! Dun even think of taking out all the enemy by your own it is really difficult since there are a large amount of enemy in every location!

Good thing about the your partner is it has a well written AI, it can help you distract enemy or the other way around (you distract he goes and take them out sillently). If you or your partner was shoot down in action, he becomes unmovable but can still aim and shoot at enemy surrounding him the other character will have to drag the fallen guy to a cover place and heal him up!

The weapon purchasing section is also great fun! You will enter weapon purchasing mode after each checkpoint to upgrade your gear or change you armor and face mask! A great place to waste all your hard earn money!

Overall it is a really good and challenging game! and really fun if you have a partner to play with! It is also really fun to play alone! The recruit level AI already took me down 2-3 times in certain area!

However there are some bugs that proof annoying! I encounter 2 so far, one is the screen hang in the first mission right after the back to back! The other is the most annoying one, in the last mission where I was going into the SSC HQ i enter the weapon purchasing to purchase something when i exit it I was loaded back to the part i just rescue the girl (2 mission back). I heard of some other bugs too but havent meet any yet, but they should quickly release a patch to fix all of them!
