Revoltech Macross VF-1J Detailing

Finally I have complete the detailing work on my VF-1J Revoltech! Took me sometime to update it here, hope all of you like it.

I painted the cockpit part in blue since it look really weird with the whole part white color! In the anime this part should be a see through glass (if not mistaken), did some panel lining and weathering as well!

Detailing this kit ain't a hard thing since you wont need to snap fit it like gundam kits out there, all u need to do is to dissemble the figure like below:

As you can see all the parts are really plain........

Just use any Gundam Marker out there and feel up the seem line, and you may get a better effect like above!

Now we come to the part painting the cockpit! Some simple masking like wat i did in one of the previous post.

The color I used here is Mr Color Bright Blue mix with a bit of Mr Color White! Some Retarted Mild should be used in order to make the paint job much better.

After u paint the cockpit, all you left to do is some weathering and topcoating it! You can do weathering with the Gundam Weathering Marker + a paint brush, using the dried brush technique. I may cover the technique of it in later post (sry forgot to take picture of how i did it).

Finally after all the hard work, this is what you get!

Black Getter and VF-1J

Finally got time to go down to Berjaya Times Square XL shop to collect my Revoltech! Black Getter and VF-1J! (OMG too many Revol)

Black Getter! So far I think tat this is the coolest Revoltech in the market! The color and the traditional design makes this a must get for the Revol!

VF-1J.....This is a very disappointed figure! It lacks of the panel lining and it seem to have some color lacking! Ahhh why i bought this figure! Nvrmind I will faced the problem myself! I will give you update on how I am going to recolor it!

Yotsuba is not here yet! The release date is on 27/9 so still a few more days to go! So now may as well enjoy this 2 figures!

Team Fotress Classic 2

I assume a lot of ppl have heard about Half Life. A very famous FPS game back in 1998 and the source of the famous Counter Strike! Today i would like to talk about another famous mod back the 20th century - Team Fotress Classic! Back then it was one of the most hot game in CyberCafe (before CS came out), also 1 of my favourite!

Now after so many years of rumor about the upcoming TFC2 finally arive with cartoon like graphic! Give the feeling of "The Incredible" from Pixel! have some look at the picture:
The Half Life Engine is doing a great job to make this character, from the engineer video below you will notice its mouth movement looks very smooth and nice!



Recently they even come out with funny videos like this! I am already thinking which version of the game should I buy, PC or PS3?????? Ahhh my PC sucks but playing on PS3 just aint the same feel as PC!!!! Damn cant make up my mind! Hope there is a dedicated server in Malaysia!

Masking a model kit

Masking a model kit for Airbrushing or hand painting is one of the part that hate most! Masking is really troublesome, and is a must if you want your kit to look good! U can even do special effect with masking!

Today I want to show you wat will happen if you did not plan your move correctly.

I wasn't planning to paint this kit from the start but after snap fitting it, I changed my decision so dissemble it again, but the feet part seem to be too tight. So as a result I had to mask the feet part to airbrush the 2 different color (white and blue).

Masking isn't a easy job, you will need to cut the masking tape shape to make it cover up the part correctly. While masking small and specially shape angle, you need to used a lot of tape.

From my experience with masking kit, I feel that the Tamiya masking tape is the best. It ain't too sticky (wont tear off ur paint) and masked part won't have the airbrushed color on them. I will strongly recommend you ppl buy Tamiya masking tape if you wish to do masking, those normal masking tape will course you more problem although they are cheap (my experience).

There are few more method to mask a kit, but this is the most simple one and straight forward one. Later I will show a few products that are used for masking kit and what masking tape can do to make your kit more cool.

Return from Jacky Cheung Concert

It was a tiring day, i left early as usual (dun want to get jammed in the traffic). I notice that i have few mistake make in my previous post. The Snow Wolf Lake Musical was on 2004 not last year!!! I was also shock when i heard my sis told me so.....time seem to be flying by!

The concert was fantastic and it really worth the money. It was held in the outdoor stadium and was lucky enough to get rain failing on the opening, some ppl seem to have foresee it coming and was selling umbrella and rain coat out the stadium. I was seating in the open area but my seat was cover by the Stadium roof.

I did not bring along my camera to the stadium because i heard that camera were not allowed and you may even get sued if you post any on the web (like the Hong Kong guy). However it seems to be I was the only person taking this stuff serious there were tons of ppl taking picture and sound recording in the stadium.....

I did took some picture with my handphone but the quality is terrible so I dun even bother posting them here! I believe there are already plenty of picture leak out by now.

This was already the 61th round of concert of Jacky's world tour, some said KL will be the last location for the world tour 07, but it was only rumor not confirm yet.

The concert were great, and definitely worth the price! Jacky sing a lot of his classic song, there were even other ppl song (YanZi's 天黑黑 and lots more). The best part was Jacky even include a edit version of Snow Wolf Lake Musical + Perhaps Love (如果愛).

I left on the encall part, just to escape the traffic jammed part!

Jacky Cheung World Tour 07 Concert (学友光年马来西亚巡回演唱会07)

I just receive 2 tickets for Jacky Cheung World Tour 07 Concert (学友光年马来西亚巡回演唱会07)! It has been a year since I last saw Jacky live in Malaysia, the last time I saw him was at the Musical show Snow Wolf Lake (雪狼湖).

The tickets I got worth RM268 each, so I will be seating somewhere near the Block F! But I have a feeling that i wont be seeing much of Jacky from there too (my last experience with the Musical show in VIP seat cant even get a clear look).

The concert will start at 8.30pm tomorrow night (14/9/2007), hope that Jacky is in the best state and the inccident in the last round of Hong Kong concert would happen here in Malaysia!

The 911 incident is already in its 6 years anniversary and till now the world is still in war. The war against terrorism, the war against petrol and bla bla bla!

Those leader of certain organism or country keep on saying that there have war for the good of the mankind and other types of bullshit just to cover up their real intention! What they do is just slaughtering ppl and most of them are just normal citizen. Stop the war is time for love and peace. stop the suicide bombing, you are just killing normal people who just somehow passing by!

BenQ s41 with HDMI output

I have got this laptop for several month already and didn't even test out the HDMI output, and now I finally have the time to do some testing with it.

It seem to be a trend this day for laptop and computer coming out with HDMI, I remember ppl telling me that HDMI is complete useless for PC or laptop! But now after i tried it out i feel that it is not true.

First of all this HDMI thing can not only output video signal but also audio signal. For a Laptop like mine here which has small screen (14 inch screen) and crappy speaker (most laptop do come with crappy speaker), with a HDMI output built in is a good thing! When you wanted to have bigger graphics and better sound quality you can just connect your laptop with the TV (with HDMI input of course) or AV receiver.

The graphics between a S-Video and HDMI is really a big different, and also the sound quality for using a HDMI from those normal Speaker output wire are different too! The graphic quality od HDMI is similar to DVI output and have digital audio output which support up to 7.1 channel HD Audio.

So i do think 1 day PC will have HDMI output, and 3D cards or sound card may have to combine together and make used of this HDMI output. By then monitor and speaker for PC can be replace by HDTV, which can then serve as a monitor and speaker!

MG Zaku v2.0

After nearly 2 months without any posting on Model Kits in this Blog, I bring you the most famous MS in Gundam History (Even more famous than RX-78), Zaku!!!!

I believe a lot of you that haven't seen the original Gundam 0079 also know the MS Zaku! I knew that MS when I was still in primary school, by then I didn't even seen any Gundams, just heard it from a lot of friends and also those Hong Kong shows.

Besides being famous, it is also one of the MS that made the most appearance in Gundam story! From One Year War till Seed Destiny, you get to see a lot of shadow of Zaku! Even in Turn A Gundam, you get a team of Zaku MS!

So now I present you my MG Zaku v2.0:



For this kit I used the lazy man theory, which is sanding + no painting + weathering.





I used the brown gundam marker + mud effect gundam weathering marker to do all the panel lining! So it produces the muddy effect on the kit, feels like mud stuck in all the lines.




Zaku with the Bazooka! It you look carefully you will notice that i lost some part of the bazooka!

Now Zaku is throwing everything it has against RX-78 Gundam!
